Bleach dilution chart
Household bleach is approximately 5 % w/v sodium hypochlorite (50 000 ppm available chlorine). The chart converts the 1:10, 1:100 and 1:1000 dilutions used in NHS infection-control guidance.

NHS NIPCM specifies 10 000 ppm (1 % w/v free chlorine) for blood spills, normally obtained by chlorine-releasing granules applied dry and then wetted. A 1:10 household-bleach dilution gives close to half that.[11]
